ABOUT

spaces that tell
your story

I'm Henrietta Wilkie, an interior designer specialising in creating characterful spaces that tell your story.

At 47 years old and married to Hamish Wilkie, who was born and raised on a dairy farm in South Africa. Together we have two wonderful children, Fergus, who is 13 and Felicity, aged 10.

Our family also includes two much-loved Labradors, Bokkie, our yellow lab, and Inko, our black lab, as well as Impi, our black and white cat. Family life is at the heart of everything I do, and our busy home is always full of energy, laughter, and animals.

Although I have spent much of my life in Lancashire, I have also lived in several other places that have shaped who I am today, including Perth in Scotland, Beverley in East Yorkshire where I completed my BSc, Bristol where I undertook my PhD, and Dullstroom in South Africa.

As a true Sagittarian the classic traits describe me perfectly — adventurous, independent, honest, optimistic, and always eager to explore new places and experiences.

My love of travel has had a huge influence on my approach to interiors, particularly the inspiration I draw from South Africa, France, Italy, and Spain.

I love both the English countryside and city life — equally happy in wellies walking the dogs as I am on a city shopping trip. Fashion is a key creative outlet, and I embrace a high-low approach to my personal style.

I continue to invest in my professional development and am currently undertaking a Diploma in Professional Interior Design with the National Design Academy.
